Apart from ad networks, affiliate programs are a great source of revenue for bloggers. However, simply just placing a banner or text link on the pages of your blog is not going to be enough to generate a high volume of referrals. Now you many receive a couple of referrals each month, but you can increase your number of referrals greatly with in just a few easy steps.
Step 1:
Learn about the product of service that you are trying to refer people to. If you yourself don’t fully understand the benefits and advantages that one would gain by using the product or service. Now this does not mean that you have to tried or used the product of service that you are referring, but you will need to have an understanding for what it has to offer.
Step 2:
Research the other alternative affiliate programs that are related to the product or service that you are interested.
Why do we do this?
Researching other affiliate programs is good for both you and your readers. You readers benefit in that you may find a product or services that is better than the one you are currently researching. Second, you may find a product or services that are just as good as the one you are currently promoting, but has a higher payout for you.
Step 3:
Write a review/post about what the product or service has to offer your readers. Remember to place hyperlinks throughout the post, but make sure that they link to your referral code. Second, make sure to place a banner within the post. Visitors always respond better to a visual advertisements rather than text.
