Well last night I was looking at my wordpress stats and noticed that I have an incoming link from another site. So i thought will that’s great someone one is linking back to my site. So I decided to take a look at the site that was linking back to my blog post. The link to the other blog came up as
http://beg0.blogspot.com/2008/03/adding-banner-to-your-blogger.html
Much to my surprise the post that was linking to my blog was actually the exact same post as a post that I had published on March 20 Adding a banner to your blogger. If you haven’t figured out what I am getting at the genius at beg0.blogspot.com had copied my post word for word and published it on their blog as their own. Not only did they copy my post word for word they also were displaying the pictures that I had included in the post. The funny thing about the pictures is that they were retrieving the pictures directly from my site. Which means that I have control over what the picture actually displays. This right here tells me that the individual behind this blog is not to bright. So what did I do we I changed the pictures. Heres what I changed them to.
So after changing the pictures I started looking at the other posts on this blog and sure enough I found another post that they had copied from my blog. Now at this point I am getting pretty mad. First, off this person is copying my blog post and second not giving me any credit for them. Well I wasn’t really sure what to do so I started surfing the net and found a post that Problogger had written in 2004 about this same situation and I am taking the advice that Darren has recommended. First, try to contact the owner of the blog and inform them that they need to remove the copied posts immediately. So I guess we will see what happens.

Wow, that sucks! I hope you get worked out. You should also report it to the blogging service he uses, if you haven’t already. Good luck with that!

Yeah, it happens. I wrote Some Guy In Hong Kong is Stealing My Blog Content after some guy in hong kong stole my content.
Then a woman in Texas wrote a copycat piece on my Half Man Half Tree on TLC the Real Life X-Men AND stole my pictures.
